stuck in traffic      late for work

on bus. 80 & i am grouchy

as if there was an outward collective push 

to aggravate the solo rider

as if traffic was a thing out there

beyond the ken of each car & truck & motorcycle

a deliberate fuck you to each vehicle

as if traffic was a malignant god

knowing all the while that stuck traffic

is the rider & the rider be also traffic

like how a stubbed toe says to its owner
