life too squiggly for straight narrative

who knows as i watched a woman walk

in the middle of the street narrating

a life of paranoia and conspiracy

she was loud but not noisy

sense gone maybe

but the details were keen

this morning the blue light of tv news

spoke of a zombie apocalypse

i nearly drowned in my bowl of wheaties
