it's friday nite, near the end of this year, & this TCM In Memoriam really hits you in the feels
i've spent this week doing the usual things, working, loving, reading, avoiding writing, worrying over certain factors related to me aging, & watching movies, the movies i've seen this week are classic crime/noir cinema such as Double Indemnity [1944] & Laura [1944], as well as 21st C horror fare like Don't Breathe [2016], & i am convinced that Cinema is literature, that it might be the greatest art form ever conceived, for it contains all our arts, painting, music, theater, photography etc etc., marry those up with editing, lighting, set designs, sound designs etc etc., but most importantly it is the actors, their voices, their faces, their physical movements
& here in this annual memoriam created by the great movie channel TCM i am reminded of the greatness of movies, why i love movies, & how movies can & do change as well as make our lives, watching this short video really brought the waterworks
