this comedy of errors directed by garry marshall & starring dan ackroyd, rosie o'donnell & dana delany (as a dominatrix!  oh my heart!!) is probably left off the CVs of all the principals involved.  this movie is based on an erotic novel by anne rice of the same name.  is rice's book funny?  i doubt it.  neither is this flick.  sorta.  because it does have a few yuks in it.  & all the main actors, especially delany, are game.  i saw this flick in the theaters when it was released in 1994 because at that time i watched nearly everything that hit the theaters.  can i recommend it?  sure, if you want to see an artifact of the 1990s when kink entered into the popular vocabulary.  plus this trailer is a gem.  with its voice over narration [in a world...]. ackroyd & o'donnell as two straight-laced LAPD detectives, in a tropical location, it is a fish out of water kind of story with BDSM imagery galore!  plus they don't make trailers like this one anymore!  you will probably not find another pic with ackroyd & o'donnell in fetish wear!  that alone is worth the price of admission!
