'absolute music'

just when i think that it can't be any more fucked up

after a day of terribly sad news

& walking home on a very beautiful night

passing a horrible car accident

i see the driver of one vehicle in shock, eyes dazed & smeared,
sitting on the sidewalk curb with a firefighter beside her

the other car's front end crumpled like an accordian
the airbags deflated now

i think of chaos theory & how no thing can be planned for

it is luck

& maybe luck with purpose

but mostly luck

that i come home grateful for life
