everyday is halloween

it is always the same each year, i ask my peeps at MIT to create a calendar that collapses summer and expands fall.  they are still working on it.  in the meantime, let us enjoy this brief, very brief, scary season by watching this short clip from my favorite vampire movie of recent vintage, 30 days of night [2007].

danny huston plays the leader, marlow, a villian of exquisite poise.  i love huston's ability to inhabit this monster with brutality and panache.  marlow is one cool ghoul.  i am surprised marlow didn't become a horror movie icon.  marlow is an astonishing creature.  watch, shudder and shake!
